Parents’ group Wednesday, 3 April 1.30pm Woodbridge College, Marie Cullen to lead all welcome

Welcome to Firwood High School

Firwood is Bolton’s provision for students aged 11 – 19 years with severe and profound learning difficulties. The school caters for a range of pupils including those with severe learning difficulties (SLD), profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), autistic spectrum disorders (ASD) and autism.

The school is purpose built and we are co-located with Bolton St Catherine’s Academy. This allows pupils to access inclusion opportunities, where appropriate, also mix with their mainstream peers during lunchtimes.

During the year we have opportunities for parents to come into school to discuss their child’s progress. Whilst this happens during the school year we are happy for you to contact us at any time to discuss your child. We operate a Home/School dairy system in school and use this very effectively to communicate with parents.

We always welcome visits from parents who are considering Firwood as their child’s next step from Primary school. Please contact us if you have any questions about our school or if you would like to organise a visit.
